Baldi’s Basics Birthday Blast is a special variant of Baldi’s Basics crafted by McGonigal to commemorate the first anniversary of the game. Featuring a festive birthday theme and adorned with decorations scattered throughout the corridors, this game bears a striking resemblance to the original.

The gameplay mechanics closely mirror those of the standard version, albeit with a few minor tweaks. As we venture into the hallway, Baldi warmly greets us with the words, “Oh, hey! Welcome to my party!” Notably, he omits any mention of the quarter since, as the story goes, it might not have made it into the present. Indeed, every item is randomized and cleverly concealed within blue and green gift boxes. The vending machines have been substituted with a wacky contraption called the Crazy Stuff Machine, featuring a conspicuous poster urging players to “GET A CRAZY Stuff”. The words floating above Bully now read “It’s a Party” instead of “It’s Bully”. Once the protagonist gathers seven notebooks and activates all four doors (with the final one located in the Canteen), they will be lauded and compelled to take the elevator towards the candle. However, a sudden power outage ensues, causing all the characters to soar skyward, leading to a theory suggesting that the school may reside in outer space, where gravity is contingent on electricity. Amidst this juncture, the music triumphantly reprises, this time with regal beats infused with an additional bassline. If we open the tablet, it will display a jagged appearance, with the word “One” repeated incessantly. Baldi himself will exclaim, “You need 2 more notebooks before you can open these doors!” Yet, in truth, this proclamation bears no impact on the actual gameplay. The pivotal choices lie ahead, dictating the course of the game. At this stage, two distinct endings can be attained:

Normal Ending: Upon counting all the colored Baldi clones, a door adorned with the inscription “WOW, YOU’RE SMART” will grant us passage. Subsequently, red-splattered Baldi clones emerge, swiftly ending our journey through a grim strangulation. As we meet our untimely demise, a “Thank You” screen graces our presence.
Secret Ending: By obtaining the Teleporter early on in the game, through inputting the code 53045009 into the tablet, an alternate conclusion can be unlocked.

As evident, both endings afford us commendation for our intellectual prowess.
